Coco Sponge is composed of coconut coir- a lightweight, organic, and all-natural absorbent material made from the husk of coconut. Coconut coir contains capillary cells that help to draw in and encapsulate liquids, which prevent them from being released back into the environment.
Additionally, Coco Sponge creates an ionic bond with hydrocarbons ( the chief components of petroleum-based chemicals), so that even if Coco sponge becomes fully saturated by water, it will draw in and encapsulate the oil/fuel/chemicals, while water is pushed out.
